The first public version of Playtrove: a game library for Windows, in the style of Playnite, for your emulated games.

Download

  • Playtrove-Setup-0.5.0.exe: the installer. It installs just for you, without admin rights, and updates itself when a new version comes out.
  • Playtrove-0.5.0-portable.zip: the portable version. Unzip it anywhere and open Playtrove.exe; your library stays in the data folder next to it.

Playtrove isn't digitally signed yet, so Windows may show "Windows protected your PC" the first time: click More info and then Run anyway.

What it does

  • Finds PCSX2, DuckStation, RetroArch and RPCS3, and adds the games from your ROM folders with clean names.
  • Play opens the game in its emulator and keeps track of your playtime, including the time the emulators record themselves.
  • Details, Grid, List and Kanban views, custom statuses, filters, search and favorites.
  • Covers and details from libretro-thumbnails, IGDB and SteamGridDB.
  • Your rating, the difficulty and a review for each game.
  • RetroAchievements achievements and RPCS3 trophies, PlayStation style.
  • Statistics, and the whole app in English and Portuguese.

  • The name Playtrove and its icon.
  • Installer, portable version and automatic updates.
  • Report a problem in Settings → About, which opens the bug form with your version filled in.
