Playtime and statistics
When you start a game with Play, Playtrove follows the session until the emulator closes. At the end of the session, it records playtime and when you last played.
Sessions shorter than three seconds do not count. If you close Playtrove while the emulator is open, the application records time up to that moment and leaves the emulator running.
Emulator records
The application also reads playtime saved by supported emulators. Sessions started directly in an emulator can therefore appear in your library.
To avoid double counting, the library uses the greater total from Playtrove's record and the emulator's record. Available records and dates vary by emulator; RetroArch requires its own playtime logging to be enabled.
For Azahar, close the emulator when you finish: a session started by Playtrove is followed until the process ends.
Read the Statistics tab
The content is centered, with headings and spacing between sections. Card groups use two columns when there is enough width and stack in narrower windows. Long game and status names can wrap. Resizing rearranges the presentation without changing playtime calculations.
You will find:
- Game count, total playtime, the average among played games and recently played games.
- Your ten most played games.
- Breakdowns by status, platform and library.
- Activity over the last 30 days, recently played games and never played games.
Charts show details when you hover over a column or focus it with the keyboard. View as table provides the values as text.
Imported emulator history may not contain the original daily distribution of every session. Do not interpret the chart as a complete session log for the period before import.
